Working Groups



The QCA sets up a number of ad hoc and long-term working groups to deal with specific organisational, regulatory, governance and market issues, as neccessary.

The QCA has one long-standing working group - the Marketing & Communications Working Group.

In 2008/09, we also set up some ad hoc working groups, made up of technical committee members, on the following issues:

  • Walker Review Working Group - Comprised of members of the Legal and Corporate Governance Committees and set up specifically to responsd to Sir David Walker's review on corporate governance in UK financial institution.
  • AIM Working Group - Comprised of members of the Legal, Markets and Regulations, NOMAD Committees and set up in November 2008 to discuss the market trends on AIM at the time of increased delistings and very small capitalisations.
  • Going Concern Working Group - Comprised of members of the Financial Reporting Committee, Legal Committee, and Corporate Governance Committees and set up in October 2008 to discuss and respond to the Financial Reporting Council's revision of the guidance for directors on going concern.
