Market Maker Events
Just how do market makers operate and how do they set the price? The QCA runs a Market Maker event each year to give company directors a detailed understanding of what really goes on at the sharp end of the market in their shares. Participants start off on the trading floor and then have a discussion lunch to talk through any issues or queries they have about any aspect of market making, spreads, liquidity, research, etc. There are two Market Maker Events scheduled for 2010 so far:
